App redesign

Regal is one of the largest and most geographically diverse theatre circuits in the United States, consisting of 5,808 screens in 428 states along with the District of Columbia and Guam.

 

The app aims to let people browse upcoming and current movies and purchase tickets at their fingertips.

 

The challenge of this project was to enhance user engagement by providing more features that are tailored to the users. Through user research, competitors’ analysis, and creating the user journey, I was able to identify where in the app people were finding it most difficult to navigate. After creating the user flow map, I found areas where I was able to add features such as movie suggestions and recommendations based on movies watched or saved, connecting movie dates and times to mobile calendars after purchasing tickets, and rating watched movies.
