City Linker
The smarter way to travel
City Linker is an app to assist with monitoring and managing crowds on tubes or at stations. The app consists of a dashboard that displays train platform analysis, such as an estimate of the number of passengers in the carriages or at stations.
The project aimed to help public transportation staff and people taking public transit daily to monitor crowds on tubes and at stations to make better decisions with increased awareness of their surroundings. After some user research and thematic analysis, I identified key features that were important to the target users and created user journey maps and site maps. Because the functions and features which are needed by public transportation staff are different from daily public transportation users, I took into consideration of the other platforms that the users use, i.e., tablets and mobile phones.
